Frozen 3 Release Date, News and Updates 2023

Since the release of Frozen 2 in late 2019, fans have been clamoring for news about the next installment in the popular Disney franchise “Frozen 3”. Everyone is anxiously awaiting news of the Frozen 3 release date and the return of Elsa and Anna magical world.

Here is all we currently know about the movie, despite the fact that Disney has kept most details under wraps.

Frozen 3 release date

Although there has been no official announcement from Disney, it’s widely believed that Frozen 3 will be released in late 2023 or 2024. This is based on the fact that there was a four-year gap between the releases of Frozen and Frozen 2.

While that may seem like a long time from now, it’s actually right on schedule for a Disney animated movie. Most of Disney’s big animated features take around four years to produce from start to finish. Based on that timeline, everything is moving along smoothly for Frozen 3.

Recently Kristen Bell (who plays Princess Anna in the film) told on the Jimmy Fallon show,

“I would like to officially announce with zero authority Frozen 3,” before adding, “Please bear in mind, I did say ‘zero authority’ ’cause I can’t do that. I can’t do that, no, I’m not in charge. At all.”

What We Know So Far – Frozen 3 Plot

Of course, we have yet to learn much about the third movie’s plot. We know that it will again focus on Elsa and Anna, the two royal sisters at the heart of the franchise. We’re sure there will be plenty of drama and adventure for them—and possibly a romantic interest or two for Anna.

There are also rumors that a new character will be introduced in the form of a love interest for either Anna or Elsa. No matter who this character ends up being, they’ll have big shoes to fill; after all, Olaf is pretty much the perfect boyfriend.

Additionally, some reports suggest that the movie will focus on Anna and Elsa’s parents more than the previous two installments did. In particular, it’s rumored that we’ll learn more about their mother’s past and what happened to her the night she died.

What We Can Expect – Frozen 3

While we have yet to learn much about the plot of Frozen 3, we know that the film will be similar in style to its predecessors. That means stunning visuals, lovable characters, and plenty of snow and ice. We can also expect the film to feature an all-star cast, with Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Josh Gad, and Evan Rachel Wood all reprising their roles from the previous films.

New Update – Frozen 3 is officially in the works

Bob Iger confirmed during The Walt Disney Company’s 2023 Financial Results conference call for the First Quarter that Frozen 3 is officially in production.

This announcement suggests that Disney is interested in making a third installment of the popular franchise.

Additionally, Bob Iger revealed that both Zootopia 2 and Toy Story 5 are also currently in development.

However, Disney has not yet released any information on when Frozen 3 will be released or any other details about the upcoming sequels. We hope to get atleast Frozen 3 trailer in 2023.

Who will be returning to the cast for Frozen 3?

Although the complete cast for Frozen 3 is still unknown, Josh Gad, who portrays the character of Olaf, the snowman, confirmed through a tweet that he will be reprising his role in the upcoming film.
