In Episode #329 of Naruto Shippuden’s title – “Two-Man team”, is where Naruto become friends with the nine-tails. The two sealed their friendship during the fourth ninja war.

The Nine Tails Fox, Kurama, is the most powerful creature to exist. Even though Naruto and Kurama had been at odds from their first meeting, the young shinobi’s compassion continued to impress Kurama over the years.

By removing the rods Madara had placed in Son Goku during the Fourth Great Shinobi War, Naruto aids the Four-Tailed beast.

Goku rewards him by giving him a small portion of his chakra in an effort to support Naruto in his conflict with the Uchiha.

After seeing Naruto save other Tailed Beasts, Kurama assists Naruto and the two become Friends for Life.

Naruto and Kurama sealed their relationship with a fist bump. During the fourth ninja battle, the two had a chat that made Kurama understand he could trust Naruto. 

Naruto’s good deeds have dispelled Kurama’s animosity. By observing all of each other’s memories, they develop a Great Bond.
