Henry Cavill started his journey with Man of Steel and gained utmost popularity with the ‘Superman’ role. Henry is now coming up with new adventures and amazing projects this year. The actor has a pretty successful run this year with Zack Snyder Justice League and will soon reprise his role as White Wolf in The Witcher Season 2. Henry also rumored to star in a couple more upcoming blockbusters.

Here’s Henry Cavill’s every upcoming movies, Projects and TV shows.

The Witcher Season 2 (Post-Production)

Henry cavill the Witcher Based on the fantasy book series of the same name by Andrzej Sapkowski, Netflix’s The Witcher proved to be the biggest hit. Netflix announced season 2 even before the first season debuted.

Initially, the production of Season 2 had to face a lot of challenges, started in London in early 2020, with plans to release it in 2021. In March, the production was shut down, like many others, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Eventually, filming resumed in August, but then UK’s safety lockdowns kick in, and the crew had to shift the production.

The show production was again shut down when select crew members tested positive for COVID-19. That’s not all, the Witcher’s production was shut down again in December when Henry Cavill sustained a leg injury.

The Good part is Netflix already released the teaser trailer for The Witcher season 2. However, Netflix does not yet have a release date for The Witcher season 2 but told investors in the summit that it would premiere in Q4 2021.

Enola Holmes (Confirmed)

Enola Holmes is based on Nancy Springer’s book series of the same name about Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister Enola Holmes. Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown is starring as Enola opposite Henry Cavill as cunning Sherlock Holmes in the film.

Netflix confirms an Enola Holmes 2 sequel, Millie Bobby Brown and Cavill, reprising their original roles. Enola Holmes debuted on Netflix in September 2020, originally intended for a theatrical release but instead picked up by Netflix. Netflix once again did not have a release date for Enola Holmes 2.

Superman in Black Adams

Henry Cavill took DCEU at a great height with Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel, debuting as Superman. After that, he reprises his role in Superman vs Batman and Justice League. Henry Cavill isn’t hanging up his Superman cape anytime soon.

In the cover story with Men’s Health magazine, Cavill said he had “not given up on the role”. “The cape is in the closet. It’s still mine,” he revealed. “I’m not just going to sit quietly in the dark as all this stuff is going on. There’s a lot I have to give for Superman yet. A lot of storytelling to do. A lot of real, true depths to the honesty of the character I want to get into,” he added.

Variety reported in June 2020 that Henry Cavill Superman would return in an unnamed future DC movie. However, it’s not going to be the upcoming Shazam: Fury of the Gods. So it could be Black Adams. It might have the same cameo just like we have seen in Shazam (2019)

‘Highlander’ Reboot (Confirmed)

According to Deadline, Man of Steel star is in talks for one of the lead roles in Lionsgate’s reboot of Highlander with John Wick director Chad Stahelski helming.

The 1986 original movie featured actors Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown as immortal beings, hunting down each other to become more powerful.

“Being not shy with swords and having a director as talented as Chad Stahelski at the helm, this is an opportunity like no other. Deep diving into franchise storytelling with all the tools at our disposal is going to make this an adventure I (and hopefully all of you) shall never forget,” says Henry Cavill

It’s still unclear if Cavill will be playing the Highlander himself or a brand new character in the universe.

Argylle (Filming)


Argylle, is a spy thriller directed by Vaughn, Cavill is set to star in an absolutely star-studded movie along with Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson.

Apple TV+ has shared a first-look photo from Henry Cavill’s new spy movie Argylle. Cavill previously shared the first image from “Argylle” on Instagram, which includes a blue and gold argyle backdrop and a man in the foreground (probably Cavill’s role) carrying a pistol with his back turned.

Dua Lipa, the pop singer, will make her acting debut in the film and provide original music to the title track and score.

It’s based on Ellie Conway’s spy novel “Argylle,” which follows “the world’s finest spy” on his newest adventures. This specific spy narrative appears to be going to be significant, based on the number of persons involved.

The Rosie Project (Pre-Production)

Henry Cavill will star in the upcoming rom-com, “The Rosie Project.”

The picture, which has been in development at Sony Pictures for a few years, is based on Graeme Simsion’s novel of the same name and will be released later this year.

As per Deadline, Steve Falk will write and direct the film. It is based on a story of an unlucky-in-love university professor who writes a detailed questionnaire in order to locate a wife and meets an eccentric woman who does not fit any of his “requirements,” but who may be the perfect woman for him. The Rosie Project is expected to begin its shooting at the starting of 2022.

Squadron 42 (Post-Production)

Just like Keanu Reeves, Henry Cavill is also lending his star presence in the upcoming video game, Squadron 42. Along with Henry, it also features acting talents like Andy Serkis, Mark Hamill, Mark Strong, Gillian Anderson, Gary Oldman, Ben Mendelsohn, John Rhys-Davies, and many more.

The story is about a rookie UEE Navy combat pilot, and it’s set in the Star Citizen universe. Cavill is the voice behind Squadron 42 commanding member Ryan Enright.

‘Mass Effect’ Adaptation (Rumored)

Henry Cavill shared a post on his Instagram hinting at his upcoming project that is speculated to be a Mass Effect adaptation.

He shared a black and white picture of himself sitting on seat holding sheets of paper that have been blurred. The actor mentioned that it could either be a secret project or just some paper with random words. However, Cavill did not reveal what it is about and told that fans have to wait for it.

Some keen Internet sleuth removes unwanted blur from photos that show words on the page found are Cerberus, Tali’Zorah, and Geth – all hints towards the Mass Effect series.
