The actor has a pretty successful run previous year with his role as White Wolf in The Witcher Season 3. Henry also rumored to star in a couple more upcoming blockbusters.

Here’s Henry Cavill’s every upcoming movies, Projects and TV shows.

1.’Highlander’ Reboot (Confirmed)

As per the Deadline, Man of Steel star is in talks for one of the lead roles in Lionsgate’s reboot of Highlander with John Wick director Chad Stahelski helming.

The 1986 original movie featured actors Christopher Lambert, Sean Connery, and Clancy Brown as immortal beings, hunting down each other to become more powerful.

“Being not shy with swords and having a director as talented as Chad Stahelski at the helm, this is an opportunity like no other. Deep diving into franchise storytelling with all the tools at our disposal is going to make this an adventure I (and hopefully all of you) shall never forget,” says Henry Cavill

It’s still unclear if Cavill will be playing the Highlander himself or a brand new character in the universe. Cavill has been associated with the project since 2021, yet a release date remains undisclosed. Currently, the movie is in the very early stages of pre-production.

2. Argylle (Feb. 2024)

Argylle, is a spy thriller directed by Vaughn, Cavill is set to star in an absolutely star-studded movie along with Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson.

Apple TV+ has shared a first-look photo along with the movie trailer from Henry Cavill’s new spy movie Argylle. Cavill previously shared the first image from “Argylle” on Instagram, which includes a blue and gold argyle backdrop and a man in the foreground (probably Cavill’s role) carrying a pistol with his back turned.

Dua Lipa, the pop singer, will make her acting debut in the film and provide original music to the title track and score.

It’s based on Ellie Conway’s spy novel “Argylle,” which follows “the world’s finest spy” on his newest adventures. This specific spy narrative appears to be going to be significant, based on the number of persons involved.

Argylle features a star-studded cast including familiar faces like Ariana DeBose, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Jing Lusi, John Cena, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, and Rob Delaney. It is set to premiere in theaters on February 2, 2024, followed shortly by its release on Apple TV Plus.

3. The Rosie Project (Pre-Production)

Henry Cavill will star in the upcoming rom-com, “The Rosie Project.”

The picture, which has been in development at Sony Pictures for a few years, is based on Graeme Simsion’s novel of the same name and will be released later this year.

As per Deadline, Steve Falk will write and direct the film. It is based on a story of an unlucky-in-love university professor who writes a detailed questionnaire in order to locate a wife and meets an eccentric woman who does not fit any of his “requirements,” but who may be the perfect woman for him. The Rosie Project is expected to begin its shooting at the starting of 2022.

4. Squadron 42 (Post-Production)

Just like Keanu Reeves, Henry Cavill is also lending his star presence in the upcoming video game, Squadron 42. Along with Henry, it also features the acting talents like Andy Serkis, Mark Hamill, Mark Strong, Gillian Anderson, Gary Oldman, Ben Mendelsohn, John Rhys-Davies, and many more.

The story is about a rookie UEE Navy combat pilot, and it’s set in the Star Citizen universe. Cavill is the voice behind Squadron 42 commanding member Ryan Enright.

5. ‘Mass Effect’ Adaptation (Rumored)

Henry Cavill shared a post on his Instagram hinting at his upcoming project that is speculated to be a Mass Effect adaptation.

He shared a black and white picture of himself sitting on seat holding sheets of paper that have been blurred. The actor mentioned that it could either be a secret project or just some paper with random words. However, Cavill did not reveal what it is about and told that fans have to wait for it.

Some keen Internet sleuth removes unwanted blur from photos that show words on the page found are Cerberus, Tali’Zorah, and Geth – all hints towards the Mass Effect series.

6. The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024)

Henry Cavill takes on the lead role in Guy Ritchie’s upcoming film, “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare,” alongside Eiza González. Directed by Ritchie and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, the World War II action spy movie is based on true events, recounting the creation of a secret combat organization by U.K. Prime Minister Winston Churchill and James Bond author Ian Fleming.

Lionsgate acquired the film in Feb. 2023, aiming for a 2024 release, though uncertainties arise due to Hollywood strikes. With the potential to become a franchise, the movie, inspired by the Special Operations Executive, could delve into various missions, building on Ritchie’s successful track record with Sherlock Holmes and The Gentlemen.

7. Warhammer 40K (Confirmed)

Warhammer 40,000,” a miniature wargame by Games Workshop, immerses players in tabletop battles using miniature models. The game’s expansive fictional setting, set in a stagnant future besieged by aliens and supernatural threats, has been richly detailed through numerous official novels.

With its vast lore, Warhammer 40,000 has the potential to evolve into a major film franchise, possibly linking to the earlier Warhammer Fantasy series. In December 2022, Henry Cavill revealed a deal with Amazon for a live-action adaptation, marking the inception of the Warhammer Cinematic Universe. While still in early development, promising casting choices hint at an exciting cinematic venture awaiting fans.
