Cobra Kai gets New 4-Year Sony TV Deal, Franchise Spinoffs on Cards.

We all know the famous tagline of John Kreese, “You’re all Cobra Kai for life because Cobra Kai never dies“. but in the real world Jon Hurwitz, the creator of Cobra Kai, channelising his all effort to make sure “Cobra Kai Never ends.” Recently, after the Renewal of Season 5, the Cobra Kai creators have signed a big new four-year overall deal with Sony Pictures Television. 

According to Deadline Hollywood. The creative minds behind The Cobra Kai originally signed in early 2019 just as their hit series was announced a season three renewal for YouTube. Now Sony Pictures TV has stepped up with three-year overall deal for four more years.

At Netflix, Cobra Kai earned mammoth popularity around the globe, which also helped the show to score season four and five renewals. Cobra Kai got Emmy nominations for season three, including the Outstanding Comedy Series in 2021.

As per the new deal, Jon Hurwitz, Schlossberg, and Heald, along with Counterbalance’s Head of Development Dina Hillier, will continue to develop comedy, drama, and unscripted TV projects for the studio. 

It will explore the Karate Kid universe and Cobra Kai expanding with spinoffs and other offshoots similar to Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul and sequel movie El Camino.

    I love it! The cast and crew is perfect. These writers what can I say no one could have done a more perfect job from storyline incorporating flashbacks. Music keeping the original karate kid alive and the cobra Kai cast is perfect I have been a karate kid fan since it came out in 1984 and will be a cobra Kai fan for life don’t change a thing keep doing what you have been doing! “Cobra Kai Never Dies”!
