When Johnny Lawrence showed his inner Sensei even before Cobra Kai Show exist

Soon William Zabka found its commercial into controversies

Today William Zabka doesn’t need any Introduction from children to grandparents, everyone has become fond of his Johnny Lawrence character in Cobra Kai. Especially for those who haven’t been born in the time of “Karate Kid 1984.” Previously, Johnny Lawerence was just a name for a few, but today it has become a sensation after the release of the Cobra Kai series.

We have seen William Zabka as a Sensai on the Cobra Kai teaching the important aspect of Karate in his new Dojo. We also learned that whatever you do, you don’t want to make him angry at any cost. Otherwise, the result will be devastating.

However, it is not the first time William Zabka showed his inner Sensei. In a 2015 Buffalo Wild Wings TV Commercial, we saw a glimpse of Johnny Lawerence as a furious sensei, even way before the Cobra Kai idea was pitched.

In the video, Two men enjoy the atmosphere at Buffalo Wild Wings and can’t help but notice the two men dressed in silk robes slapping each other on TV. Some people know how challenging sport karate is, while others think they’re just athletes without shoes. The Two Insist on changing the channel until they see William Zabka, also known as Johnny Lawrence, at the bar, and he is not okay with the idea of changing the channel, and You don’t want to challenge him.

Ironically, the commercial aired in 2015 titled “Buffalo Wild Wings TV Commercial, ‘Karate’ Featuring Steve Rannazzisi.” There was no mention of Willam Zabka in the title. It could be because his Hit Cobra Kai series wasn’t released at that time.

Soon Buffalo Wild Wings found its commercial into controversies due to Steve Rannazzisi appearance in the commercial (one who ask lady to change the channel) with William Zabka, and eventually, they have to take the commercial down after its release. For those who don’t know, Steve Rannazzisi is a comedian. He acted in the FXX comedy series The League as a fantasy football league player Kevin MacArthur.

Steve Rannazzisi has been accused of lying about being in the World Trade Center during the Sept. 11 attacks and took advantage in his acting career.

Rannazzisi lied for years that he worked for Merrill Lynch on the 54th floor of one of the World Trade Center towers during the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. He also cited the terrorist act as his motivation to move to Los Angeles and pursue comedy. In reality, Rannazzisi didn’t work for Merrill Lynch and was in midtown Manhattan at the time, far away from the site of the attacks.

“I don’t know why I said this,” he wrote. “This was inexcusable.” He wrote in a Twitter post.

After that, Buffalo Wild Wings has dropped “The League” star Steve Rannazzisi as its spokesperson and TV-commercial star and stated

“Upon careful review, we have decided to discontinue airing our current television commercials featuring Steve Rannazzisi,” a Buffalo Wild Wings representative said

It is terrible that we didn’t see William Zabka in the Buffalo Wild Wings commercial for a longer period. While we are waiting for Season 4 to see William Zabka again in action, Cobra Kai creators are preparing to start filming Season 5 with William Zabka and the team.
