Chris Hemsworth Himself Provide The Voice Of Throg, Confirms Director
Loki latest Episode, “Journey into Mystery,” has many references from the comic book but what grabs people attention was the appearance of Throg (Thor + Frog). Chris Hemsworth himself actually provided the voice for the Throg.
Kate Herron, Director of the Loki series herself, confirm the news, Actor Chris Hemsworth voiced behind “Throg” in Loki episode 5.
“Throg, obviously, getting him in (was great). We recorded Chris Hemsworth for that, by the way. We recorded him for that, His voice going ‘Ahhh!. That’s a whole new recording, not recycled, he recorded that!” Kate confirms while being interviewed on For All Nerds podcast.

Chris Hemsworth recorded a fresh recording for that particular scene only where Throg was trapped in a jar and while making several attempts to escape his jar to reach Mjolnir. It was not an old or recycled clip used in Throg dubbing instead, it is a new recording from Chris Hemsworth, confirms Kate.
She talked about some of the Easter Eggs seen in the Loki episode 5. Kate says that she was excited to be a part of the episode. She noted that it was a team effort getting all of them included, such as the Thanos Copter and Throg.
Chris Hemsworth cameo is such a small and quick one, but it’s hard to miss a phenomenal character like Throg. We might see Throg in Loki season 2 finally doing some more action – as we told you, Loki Season 2 already in the pre-production stage.
