House of the Dragon, is a prequel to the blockbuster Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones, which is getting a prequel Titled “House of Dragon,” is currently under production to bring the Westeros on the screen again. According to report in The Hollywood Reporter, Graham McTavish, who has previously starred in the Hobbit franchise and Outlander, has been cast in the Game of Thrones prequel, House of the Dragon. Although, it’s still unclear what role McTavish plays in the series.

Recently, Graham McTavish was seen on the sets of the House of the Dragon series filming in Cornwall, England, wearing his costume.

HBO neither confirmed nor denied Graham’s presence. He recently interviewed with the Stylist and mentioned that he has been cast in a mysterious role and has been shooting for the show.

“I’m enjoying that, yes,” McTavish told the magazine when asked about House of the Dragon. “I’m really having a lot of fun. We’ve just started. It’s a very big project, so we’re getting to know each other. They’re lovely people. It’s great, but I can’t tell you too much. I can’t tell you really anything about the story! But it involves a lot of dragons.”

The show is set a few hundred years before the events of Games of Throne and will be tracing the origin of many kingdoms. The story of the Targaryen family will be unfolded by going back 300 years and will see the origin of perhaps the most powerful kingdom.

The upcoming prequel series stars Paddy Considine as Viserys Targaryen, Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, and Olivia Cooke as Alicent Hightower.

House of the Dragon will debut on HBO and HBO Max in 2022. It is one of several spinoff projects set in the Game of Thrones universe in the works at HBO. Will you be watching Game of Thrones prequel? Let us know in the comments.
